Stability theory and its applications in ordinary and parabolic partial differential equations
Felix Kramer
(University of Innsbruck)
Abstract: Singular perturbed Problems (SPP) can be found in a variety of scientific fields. Not only do they often present an accurate description of natural phenomena, they also are studied for their interesting geometric properties. I give a short survey of the results of singularly perturbed problems, with a focus on numerical schemes for their time integration. Furthermore, I explore possible applications to in time integration of parabolic differential equations.
